On January 26th and 27th, 2008, nearly 200 pairs of shoes and some brand new clothes were handed out to the village of Palin, Guatemala. On Saturday Mayra traveled with the clothes and shoes from Amatitlan to the village to meet with Pastor Juan Antonio Gonzales (pictured) of the local Palin church, Principe de Paz. This letter accompanied the photos that we received - broken English is the way it was delivered.
Hello to all that God bless you. Thank God gave us a camera lens and we were able to take some photos. The families were very happy and grateful for the donation. All places where we went to there were low-income families and will be again next Saturday in another sector to finish. It was very nice to tell people that we needed, as well as clothes and shoes, Jesus Christ in our hearts. They heard the message and gave thanks for everything.
